Advice on mounting a ir mkii for scanning?!

Hey guys I just bought me a mkii for scanning and I want to mount it to a picatinny rail and then mount a ar forward grip under the rail to scan with it. I'm sure some of you have heard of others doing this. I know that I could fabricate my own double sided rail with a grinder, time, caution, and a few beers but I just assume buy something and save the time if it is available. Do any of you know of a double sided picatinny rail or have any other good ideas? Thanks!

Mount the MKII as your dedicated scope and find a used Flir PS,24, PS32 or even a LS64 to scan with.

If i am reading you post correctly you want to scan with the MKII and then place ir back on an AR to shoot with??

I currently use a ls64 and 2 gen 3 night vision scopes. I bought the Mkii for scanning and future hog hunting applications.

Take this tripod rail adaptor mount from TNVC and cut it on each end to your desired length.

Screw a camera handle into the 1/4 x 20 hole in the center of the piece you will mount your scope to. This one has a D-Ring at the bottom for a lanyard if needed.

You can blacken the cut ends of the aluminum picatinny rail adaptor with some Aluminum Black.

If you don't like the pistol grip just web search and find something that will work for you.

Here are a few round ones I have.
