I don't know how many times I've been called by a friend, local farmer or land owner and they tell me "coyotes woke me up last night"
Well same thing here, Thursday morning a friend said there was at least 2 coyotes howling right behind his place, go get em.
I thanked him and said I'll do my best Saturday morning.
Saturday morning greeted me with a dusting of snow and cooler temps. All the better.
We setup which seemed to be right in his back yard..Here's a pic.
After a series of calls I had a coyote come over a hill and sit on its butt like a dog at about 175 yards.
The wind wasn't great and with the deep draws in front of us I thought I'd better take it.
He was happy as heck and told us to come back and get the other one sometime... I thanked him again and said we will definitely be back.
