Front Quick Disconnect Sling Mount

I ordered the Troy padded sling with two quick disconnect studs thinking the front stud would fit in the cooling holes on the hand guard. It didn't. Anyone know of a quick disconnect socket that you can mount to the cooling holes in the handguard?

there are several out there, depending on your handguard slot/hole dimensions (key-lock, m-lok, etc). I purchased this one from MagPul on amazon:

Mine is the Rock River quad rail. I don't think M-lock works with that. I could be wrong though.

There are any number of rail mounted QD sling mounts available.

Edit: I would look at Blackhawk's web sight, they have some stuff there that I haven't seen on Midway, Brownell's, etc.

Do you mean the larger holes which are "within" the integral Picatinny rails?

And you want a stud, not a QD type mount, right?

Mount-n-Slot has a QD cup that, with a little work, will give you what you want

I went a little different route. I used a regular cup, rivited it to a phenolic block and epoxied it into place. I didn't photograph my work as I went along, but here's the final product

JPK, that's the guard I have. I want to go through the larger holes within the rail to attach a quick disconnect "socket". My reasoning is I would think it would be slimmer / lower profile than a rail mounted socket. Similar to what wolf has done, but with no drilling or epoxy. Maybe a bolt on system similar to what you suggested originally with the m-lock system, but compatible with these holes.

Wolf that looks good and thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping for a bolt on, but if that doesn't exist, I may be forced to go with the more permanent fix.

Other than that Troy makes what looks like the slimmest, trimmest rail mounted QD mount.

If you bench is like my bench finding a longer screw that would work with the Mount-N-Slot would take nothing but a little rooting around!

Midway USA carries the troy industries lo pro quick detach mount. It's about 40$ I just got one for my troy alpha and it fits the cooling vents on mine, real nice mount !
