lead tip bullets AR15' in a calling rifle??

I worked up a load with some 50 grain sierra soft points. being the nature of a calling rifle I often unload a shell and reload it without firing as I move to a different stand. I noticed yesterday the tips of the bullet was a little banged up. anyone else use soft points in their ar and is this ever a problem.

I use a 60 grain Soft tip sometimes. Never made any difference. They get all banged up. That led tip melts away once it hits mach speed.

Tip damage isnt an issue. Take the shot worry free when the shot presents itself.
