I saw one guy on a video on youtube using a mix of 2 gallons of water,1 cup of alum/non iodized sea salt,leave it for 2 day,flesh it,put it back in for 7 days,take it out,dry it,stretch it just before it is completely dry,would this waterproof the hide? And what kind of alum should i use for this? Thanks for any replies.
