Is it legal to hunt coyotes over dead livestock or any other dead carcass in Iowa

day or night hunting

I would certainly think so. you can email iowa dnr online and they are very good about getting back to you with answers. just go to their website and ctc.

we hunt at hog confinements pig piles the warden here don't have a problem

You can hunt them. The only regulations on anything like that are for trapping and how far away you have to have your traps.
If you can find farmers that let you know when calves get added to the dead pile, that's the best time to hit them.
