8208 XBR load data

I am thinking about working up some loads for my Savage Model 10 in .223 with a 1 in 9 twist using 8208 xbr and a 50 gr. V Max. I've had great luck with that powder in my AR, and want to try it in my bolt gun. I checked Hodgdon's site and the only 50 grain load I can find in .223 is for a soft point, with the minimum load at 23.5 gr., and the max at 25.8 gr. I guess my question is, is 23.5 a good place to start with the V Max? I'm guessing it is, but I'm not sure since it's two different bullets. I know it's a newbie question, but I'm used to having a loading manual that lists both the powder and the bullet I want to load. Just trying to be safe.

Use the soft point data.

I load it for my 223. 24.0 grains with the 50 grain V-max works real well in my rifles.
