Hello All,
This rifle has been in the making for a little over a year now and I am very pleased to say the least on how it turned out. It all started with Dan over at Mullerworks Barrels working with me on getting me a M24 contoured barrel. Once I received that and all my other parts, everything got boxed up and shipped to Travis Stevens over at TS Customs in Miller, SD (https://www.facebook.com/TSCustomsRifles). Travis did all my metal work along with bedding my stock. Travis does top notch work and it shows when you receive your rifle. In the mix of all the work Travis did, I sent my barreled action down to Ident Marking Services to do my engraving on my rifle. When Travis received it back he finished all the work he needed to do and then finally the rifle made it into my hands .
The parts used in this build are:
- Manners T5A Stock
- Remington 700 Action
- PTG M5 Bottom Metal
- PTG Nesika Bolt Shroud
- PTG Bolt Handle
- AI Magazines
- Timney Calvin Elite Trigger
- Mullerworks M24 Barrel (bugholes.com)
- Seekins 20 MOA Rail
- Vortex Razor Gen ii 4.5-27x56
- Vortex Precision Match Rings
- Vortex Throw Lever
- American Defense QD Bipod Mount
- AAD Scope Covers
The first photo is the one from when I received it from Travis.

The optics I will be using is the Vortex Razor Gen ii 4.5-27x56 which will be arriving next week. This is where the build becomes unique. I was searching hard for someone to match the color of the Vortex Razor Gen ii scope and wasn't having any luck until I spoke with Branden over at Custom Gun Coatings (http://customguncoatings.com/) (https://www.facebook.com/CustomGunCoatings). I shipped Branden my Razor Gen ii scope and he worked with his guy on getting the color to match. It took a few months but with patience and the trust I think everyone has in Branden and spraying some test sprays he nailed the color on the dot. I told Branden the pattern design I wanted on the stock and told him to take his talent and imagination and do what he does best. Needless to say I was in shock when received my first picture from him. Branden ended up laying up my stock in the 4 colors (Vortex, FDE, Tan, and White) I wanted and then did my action in the Vortex Color along with accenting FDE throughout the project. He also coated my bipod, bipod QD mount, scope covers, throw lever, rings, etc....
Below are some images I captured this weekend but stay tuned for pictures with the scope mounted.
