Reloading Room/Bench Setups

Here is a pic of the little corner in the garage that my wife said I could have. I still have a little more to do. I have a buddy that said he would build me a set of cabinets to go over the bench on up to the ceiling. That should finish out my corner of the garage.

Actually it does both. I like to run it when I am loading Old School cartridges on the 550. Those would be 38 Special and 45 ACP. The gentle rise and fall of the lava reminds me a lot about life. Things heat up and rise to the top and slowly sink back to start the cycle over again. My shooting career is echoed as I change from discipline to discipline. Start at the bottom and head up and then sink back to the next endeavor.

The Garfield phone is for use when I am feeling in need of a bit of a pick me up but not to the extent of a Road Runner cartoon.

PS: Yes I do get philosophical about all this.

I was finally able to complete a room when finishing off our downstairs a couple years back. It has a safe in it now, and my old gun cabinet still that I mainly keep the rimfires in, one nice set of shelving that goes all the way to the ceiling, a locking metal cabinet that I keep all bullets, powder, and primers in, our original kitchen table from when we first started out that serves as my cleaning station, and then this big desk I got from work for like $30 when the company was consolidating office space. Before I had this room I was upstairs and downstairs, back-n-forth, with no permanent home for this hobby so as a result - I made my setup to hold my press, powder measure, trimmer, scale... out of 2 pieces of 1/4" wood glued together, drilled to mount the various tools, and just clamped down then to whatever other surface I happened to be working on at the time. Still works fine for me. I did have to finally break down and build myself a little holding pen for the tumbler - got tired of its black rubber feet smearing the tabletop up all the time, or having to worry about checking on it to make sure it hadn't vibrated itself off the desk. It stays put now!

Still trying to buy the rest of the reloading components that I need. Also going to put a shelf underneath for brass, etc.

I was going to finish the wall behind the bench with drywall but my wife said why don't you build a 16' x 16' room in our unfinished basement and that can be your sanctuary. Can't argue with that so that will be next winters project.

Might have to go right to the 20'x20'!! LOL

I have a 13'x14' main room and just took over the 10'x13' room next to it for a real nice size "GunRoom". Man it is nice when kids move out and now we have all this wasted space. LOL

The wife reminds me on a regular basis on just how much time I spend in "The Dungeon"

Here's a couple pictures of my setup. First picture was before I added case feeder.

Second picture has 3000 rds of 22-250, 223, and 204. Bring on the prairie dogs.

Yeah RB I got lucky with her. She used to complain every time the BIG BROWN TRUCK dropped off a package but now she just shakes her head and tells me I'm like a little kid at Christmas when a new package arrives.

Her only fault is she is not into guns or hunting!!!

I'll bump this old thread.

Here is my Dillon 650 setup that has pretty much every accessory and aftermarket upgrade known to man. I just built the bench last week and it's working out superb. One of the pictures even has a single stage conversion kit for my 650 that is still new to the Dillon market and works like a champ. It saves me from running 2 presses on my bench.
