Last weekends hunting

Last few weekends of hunting have been very uneventful for me until this past weekend. plenty of action.

Saturday called in one, maybe two but my wind was all wrong. I compensated for the sun instead of the wind and they smelt me.

As you can see, the sun is in their faces but so is my wind.

So that was the end of that.

Sunday Got out to a different spot and played my cards right. 300 Black out 220g HPBT put her down. Forgot to hit record on my gopro

otherwise you would have an awesome video to watch.

Thanks. Iowa? Never been, so I wouldn't know. Definitely wouldn't mind add a few preds from your state to my list. One day.

Thanks. been having problems with getting too excited and steadying my rifle for a shot. Cost me 2 coyotes. Think I've got it down now.

Very nice. I'd love to hunt some of that type of terrain; dry arroyos and some elevation changes.

Regards,
hm

Thank you Sir! Probably is older than two. I am just not that good at judging age yet. Later I thought about my dog that passed and how her teeth were similar and thought, yeah, probably is a bit older.

Congrats on the coyote! I like that last picture best. It shows a nice diversity of habitat types and looks like a great place to find several species of predators, furbearers, and big game.

Thanks!

Even if I don't get a predator, I like to snap a photo of the area we're in as its usually very scenic.

plus it helps for future reference
