We have a lot of kit fox in our area, and I was wondering what stretcher would work best to put them up? I've tried making some wooden ones, but it didn't turn out so well as the are very small. Do you guys think a #23 wire stretcher would work? I've heard of people using a #3 wire stretcher, but I cannot find any... Any info would help.
 
Fwiw kit fox are unlawful for take in Colorado. So hopefully you are talking about swift fox on the east side of the state. With that said yes a skunk/opossum stretcher works fine for swifts, leave the feet and lower lip on them and pin the fail open to dry it completely.
