went out last night to try out new Carver calls and try to get first coyote with D740 NV scope . went to a old spot that always produces a yote or two . first tried the cottontail closed reed call and had a few deer pop up out of CRP grass and laid back down . then I tried open reed call and did some howling and barking . That got one coyotes attention and he came in and just sat down about 500 or 600 yards out . With lots of coxing and lip squeaking he started to come in. Distance is still hard for me looking through NV and I went ahead and took the shot . Bang flop with the 17 tactical ! Went out take pic and it was about 150 to 200 yard shot. I was glad to make the kill but wished I would have let him get closer. Still trying to get used to D740 scope . I really like it so far but need a thermal for scanning! More money ! thx! Mark
