this is my first AR I have owned. I do not know a ton about them. right now its pretty basic R-GUNS upper RRA lower. MOE hand guard. but I would like to hold the rifle a little more up the barrel than I can now. also I would like my bi-pod to sit farther up. do they come as a kit or would you have to piece it together.. I would like it to cover as much of the barrel as possible, it is currently a 16'' thank you in advance

Guessing that you have a carbine length hand guard. You will need a wrench to remove the existing barrel nut. You will need a longer hand guard as well as a low profile gas block that fits under the hand guard. The new hand guard should come with a new barrel nut. It is not that difficult to do.

You can buy free floats that use the factory barrel nut one is a Samson evelution and could use a 12.37" or 15" they are well built and very light weight and solid.
