Rock River Arms Questions

A_White,

I think you will find the 1:8 twist very versatile and accepting of most ammo, especially if you hand load. I currently hunt with a 52 gr Berger Varmint HPFB. I have not loaded any of the heavier bullets but I have played with the lighter end of things. I had excellent groups with 40 gr Hornady Zmax on top of 26.0 gr of Benchmark. Velocities were around 3200 fps out of the 18" barrel on my ATH.

Good to know FishSqueezer. The 1:8 seemed like a good all around setup. I'm really hoping it likes the 55gr Hornady stuff, since I don't reload yet. Also I plan on using the Leupold Mark AR 3-9 and its setup for the 55gr load I believe. I just slapped on a cheap Centerpoint

off my .22 air gun to get it usable for now. Not the best optics but it held zero good on the air gun and the rings were just tall enough.
