Just purchased.. A savage 11 in 204.

GTOHunter.....just how far in SE Missouri are you ?

I am from that area as well...and also shoot a CZ 204 and have always
decided it is my "go to" gun when hunting the Bootheel...

Wondered how the coyote season has been going for you so far ?

Xluck: I suspect your M 11 is a 12 twist which may have a hard time stabilizing that 40 grain V-max. It takes a 10 twist to run the 40's in a lot of rifles. You should do well with the 32 grain loads accuracy wise but the 35 grain Bergers will serve you much better for both killing power and fur. Avoid the shoulder with the 32's and they should work fine until you start loading. The 40's will work better if your gun will shoot them. I use Benchmark powder that has worked well in some six or seven different .204's. IMR 4895 has been really accurate as well. I have no qualms about putting a 35 grain Berger on a coyote's shoulder. Good luck. You're going to love the .204!

Thats my Three round group at 50yds... From a bench rest

If that's 3 rounds then it looks to me like you have a tumbler.

You may need a faster twist to shoot the 40's.

Mine did that when I tried 50 grain bergers, however, I still got better groups than that at 100 yards.
