Mine used to drift all the time until I put magnetic choke connectors on it, one on each end.
The only place to put it was right next to a transformer and it would drift .4 sometimes. Put those things on and I can talk on a phone now, it hasn't drifted in a long time... They work good on a gem pro 250 as well.
