First attempt

So I have never trapped before, but have always wanted to try it. I've been doing a lot of reading online so I figured I would give it a shot. I set four traps today on dirt hole sets. I am really just trying to see if I can catch anything, but I would love to get a yote or two. The orange dots are my set locations. The pink is fence lines, and the yellow is a ridge that slopes down towards the creek, about a 100' elevation change.

Here are my sets.They are all near game trails, all with coyote sign.

I baited the sets with bobcat meat. Trying to poor boy it before I get crazy buying lures or making baits.

The set in the bottom picture got robbed by what I would guess was a coon. He even dug around the pan on my trap without setting it off.

skunks will do that too. I set my pan tension at 3lbs that helps to not get things like a rabbit or skunk. I think maybe a skunk can sense the hollow spot under the pan, idk, they are always digging up bugs or crickets
