best scope around $2000

Yeah I believe so and probably why they are on sale. Now I have some extra gas money and can go search for some bobcat here in Saskatchewan.

Cheers!!

I think Im gonna pull the trigger and purchase a Leica ER 3.5-14X42, should work well.

Was going to recommend the Leica, and then saw you had come to the same conclusion at the end. I own the 3.5-14, and it's a great scope for what you want to do. It sits atop my 6.5 CM, and I use it much the same way you do. I really like the IBS reticle for being able to take fast, longer range shots w/o having to dial, but did get the TT-1x model (target turret on the elevation only) for punching paper long range. Phenomenal glass and package for the price that they're available at now, and they have a hydrophobic coating which is a great option for "coyote" weather...
