Beachfront Coyote

Got this one 200 yards away from the Atlantic ocean. Myself and another member (mr. locksmith) called the sand dunes of Massachusetts hard for 3 days but were only able to get one to present itself for a shot. We tried hard for a fox but none showed up.

13 minutes into calling and 3:30 into pup distress this female showed up. She ran in through some scrub pine and stopped at about 150-200 yards from the caller with her ears up looking to where the sound was coming from.

She made sure to conceal her position all the way until she rounded a corner trying to get a look at the caller, and that stand provided plenty of cover for her to feel safe. It also provided me plenty of elevation to deliver a .223 60gr Nosler ballistic tip handload to the chest and I don’t think she had another thought, DRT.

Lots of wind along the beach so it was tougher calling than expected, great hunt though and another one down.

Interesting landscape for sure.
