Morning hunt with my son

This morning, my son and myself were going to an equipment auction but he woke up a little early and called wanting to go make a stand knowing I'd be awake. I have a spot that is usually good for a couple times a year so we went there. We haven't been able to go together very much lately due to the way we both work so I was excited. After about a mile walk in we got set up and began calling. At exactly the 8 minute mark we had a big male come charging in at a dead run and he was able to take him with a straight on shot at about 80 yds. We got up to him and got him posed to take some PM friendly pictures. ( It was tough, he used a .243 with 95 gr Hornady Superformance) THEN we realized neither one had brought our phone, or a camera. Not enough time to walk that mile out, back in, and back out and we didn't want to carry that mess out. I hate we weren't able to get pictures. Probably the most I've enjoyed a hunt in a long time. Love hunting with my son.

Your pictures are burned into memory and I'm sure there are many more to come.

I remember almost every hunt I had with my father.
