Dipped some # 2 Dukes/Victor traps to dye for the season! Just a quick survey : Do you dye & wax your traps at the same time, or dye first then quick dip them in wax ?

I boil mine in baking soda, rinse traps and pot and then dye and wax in one step in the same pot, but what do I know?

Boil in hardwood ashes from fireplace, rinse, dye in boiling scrub oak leaves, rinse and let dry, then wax in separate pot.

Yeah, Im waxing with paraffin wax here shortly, then ill be all set , ...
Excited to test out wax dirt as well this season! I even sighted in the 22 mag
for fox hunting season as well haha, needless to say im a little excited for this
season I got permission on a beautiful property with lambs that a pack of coyotes have
been picking at
