Nosler Trophy Grade 22-250 64 grain & 1-14"???

I am looking to find a great load for Whitetails/Hogs. I do not handload, my rifle is a Weatherby S2 24" barrel with a 1-14" twist. The Nosler website says that their 64 grain Bonded Solid Base Bullets will stabilize in a 1-14". Anybody out there with any insight to their claims?? Thanks in advance.

P.S.
I would liked to have used the Barnes 50 grn. TSX
but have heard that they will not stabilize in my 1-14"
due to their being long for weight.

The only way you will know is to buy a box and try them. If Nosler say's they will work, they probably will. Will your gun like them. Who knows!

I have not shot the 64gr Nosler but I have shot quit a few 60gr Partitions in a 14 twist. They shoot surprisingly well and they do a number on whitetails. Longest shot was 290yds and it did exactly what a partition is supposed to do.

A 60 grain bullet will stabilize in a .22-250 as long as it is a flat base bullet. The base gives it the extra surface area that it needs on the rifling to stabilize. Don't shoot a 60 grain boat tail, which it doesn't sound like you want to.... And you'll be ok.

Sounds like you're on just the right track....
