Beginner book.

I've been thinking about giving this a try.I really don't know anything about trapping so I could use some recomendations for a book that covers things real well.Kind of like trappings version of Blairs book on predator hunting.
 
I got some good tips in 'Trapping North American Furbearers' by Hawbreaker. You should buy some old copies or subscribe to 'Fur-Fish-Game' magazine. eBay should have old issues.

It's best to start with easy stuff, muskrats, coons, with mink and beaver as able. Try to hook up with a local trapper as able. That would really move you along. Join a State trappers association. Look over your State regulations.
 
Thanks!I'd forgotten about this post.I have several places I know have beavers and coon's seem to be everywhere.I found out there's a logger who lives down the road that traps I hope will help me get started.
