I'm planning to buy a spotting scope real soon. Looking at a 20-60x80 straight eyepiece. I want to be able to use it for shooting off a bench....maybe prone shooting also. I also want to use it for sitting and scouting pre season deer.

Not looking to spend a fortune, but looking for some recommendations.

Sinclair makes one . I took a piece of 3/4 round bar aluminium . Purchased a square closet flange with a bearing a couple of 3/4 collars and made my own . I found nothing cheap that would fit the bill. Ray Vin use to make a bench style . I dug and dug trying to find one .must be like hens teeth .I looked at Sinclair's and i thought i could improve that design .

Manfrotto would be my first choice... but if you want a cheaper one that will get low to the ground, I also have a Vangaurd with a ball head pistol grip that works pretty good.
