Has anyone used these? Are they worth the extra $$$?

And most importantly, will it help strengthen and tighet things up? And keep them that way.

I really can't find much info about it.

To me it sounds like a perfect upper. It's supposed to have more support for the barrel, like the thick walled uppers they use for side charge AR's. I like the side charge AR's for shooting from a bench or playing around but I don't trust them as much in dirt and dust. I'm not a fan of the size or weight of the thick walled uppers ether.

The handguard also bolts right onto the upper which sounds great for durability. This will be my new truck gun, it will be dropped, tossed and kicked around. If I run out of ammo and have to knock down a tree for firewood and finnish off a hippo I don't want to worry about my gun falling apart.
