Do your dogs "groak" while you are eating?

It's an old English word that means to stare at longingly, hoping to be invited to join in the the feast...

It doesn't matter what what I am eating, they sit and groak.....

I got groaked, they groaked me....

You been groaked by your dogs?

Well of course the sit and stare, because I slip both of my dogs pieces of food off of my plate.
I have two inside/outside dogs, a treeing feist and a miniature pincer. Here is the funny part,
when we set down to eat, the pincer will immediately run over to the patio door and bark. The feist, who is not as smart as the pincer, will then run to the door and bark. I get up, open the door, and the feist runs out looking for whatever got the pincer excited. The pincer does not run out, she strolls back to her place at my feet, sets down, and waits to get her share, and hopefully the feist's share, of my food.

Every dog Ive had has been a groaker, even the outside ones when they hear a plate sound they would lay by the patio door and give me the ole cow eye look.
