6mm AI

I have a Benchmark barrel finished at 27.5" and using H4350, right now shooting 48 grains behind those 87's at about 3580, if I remember right. (everything is written down at home)

I will have to measure tonight when I get home and get back to you. I had the barrel cut so I can set them at Mag length and touch the lanz.

My COAL is 2.903

2.437 @ the ogive

This load is .010 off the lanz and gives me about .080 of room left in my clip of the DBM savage

I have had a bunch of the 243AI's and three of the 244 AI's, one 10", 12", and 14" twists, all cut with the same reamer with zero freebore, minimum SAAMI spec chamber.

I shot the 70g ballistic tip at 4100 fps(win 760) out of a 26" shilen 14 twist, and the sierra 80g Blitz at 3800(R#19). In the Hart 12 twist, 26", I shot the 85g Sierra BTHP at 3550(win 760). Then had a 26" Douglas 1-10 twist that maxed out with the 70g Nosler at 3900 fps.

While two of my rifles were on Rem 700 Short actions, the one Douglas barrel was on a Savage long action, and I could see where the 1 1/2" extra room in the magazine would be helpful as the throat got long.

I prefer a 70g Sierra Blitz King bullet over a 75g V max due to the fact that the Sierra Blitz kings are all made on "match" grade jackets which is NOT true of the 75g V max.

I loaded some test loads with 75 vmax's and H4350 last night, we'll see how that goes over the weekend. This will be in a 1:10 Benchmark barrel.
