Savage bolt lift kit?

Well after a lot of work and time, I have some of my Savage short action issues figured out. The heavy bolt lift is coming from the action not the loads. I get the same amount of lift when I dry fire the rifle. Has anyone put a bolt lift kit in their Savage or polished parts of the bolt like the cam pin to smooth the bolt and reduce lift? What kit did you use and what parts of the bolt did you polish?

I have one from Sharp Shooter Supply installed in a action I had them true up, if you go to Savage shooters they have very good instructions on how to do it yourself.
I would also check out Kevin Rayhill http://www.stockadegunstocks.com/4.html he makes a bolt lift kit also

First try putting a little lube on the cocking pin at the rear of the bolt. Sometimes they are dry and need a little help sliding on the bolt body.

I have one that Kevin offers and it seems to help. I put it on my 243AI with one of kevins bolt handles so Im not sure if the lift kit or the bolt handle made the difference, I sure like the way it feels.

I put in a home made kit and honestly could not tell much difference.
