300 AAC AR scope

I just finished my 300 AAC build and threw a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x33mm on it. This scope has good clear glass, finger adjustable turrets that can be reset to zero. I am thinking about buying "better" glass for this rifle. I will be shooting 110gr Barnes and 125gr SST ammo, no subsonic, but I really don't know where to go. I really like this scope, I have had it one no less than 6 different rifles not counting the current one. I think a 3.5-12 or bigger is overkill, but I have crappy vision and I am older than I'd like to admit.

What is a great compromise? The Prostaff 5 in 2.5-10 peaked my interest and it is on sale too, but out of stock. They said they will have some the first of the week before the sale ends. My issue is, I cannot find any reviews on it. I really prefer to avoid a bdc if at all possible.

16" barrel 1 in 8" twist is the specs on the barrel and nothing over 2400fps, mainly in the 2200/2250 range.

Thanks

It was already posted over there.

My choice:

I ended up buying the Nikon Prostaff 5 2.5-10. It was $199 shipped 2nd day delivery from Amazon. The uncertainty of the caliber and me liking disliking it, I just couldn't justify spending $300/$500 on a scope. I really like the clarity of it and the power range. Once I have more seat time behind the trigger and get a few pig hunts in, I can reevaluate my choice and upgrade if it is something I plan to keep around.
