Fur friendly load needed for a 300 Ryker

Guys we are out shooting chucks and have come apon a problem. Shooting rock chucks with a 300 Ryker using 210 VLDs isn't turning out to be fur friendly. Suggestions needed.

I'm sure they'd die from fright just looking at that beast of a round

Looks like its based off a 300 RUM with more than a 40* shoulder. So maybe a little better than a Ackley...

you don't need a better bullet Rob, you just need to back away from your targets further.

I saw the shot and retrieved the Rock Chuck and I agree 896 yards was too close.
I am thinking back up another 250 yards or so and bullet expansion will be less...... Maybe.
