2 first toms

I've never turkey hunted before and decided to take my 2 step son's Derrick and Zach out turkey hunting for their first time. We ended up scoring 2 toms on the first morning out. Derrick hunted with my dad and Zach hunted with me. Derrick got his bird at about 7am and Zach at 8am. One turkey had a 9 1/4 inch beard and the other had a 10 1/2 inch beard. Here are some pics.

The boys have did really well this past hunting season. Last fall Zach shot 2 deer (one was my tag) and Derrick got one. 2 does and a fork horn, and I mounted the fork horn rack for Zach and put it in the living room. Plus some squirrels in between and now some turkeys. They are some happy 12 year olds and I think I have some hunting buddies now!
