223 40gr V-Max Bullet Length & Barrel Twist

I am looking to find the length of the 40r Hornady V-Max bullet length to evaluate barrel twists. Any info or source?

Also, it looks like I'll go to 1:12 twist - any suggestions?

I've shot that bullet in 1/9, 1/12, and 1/14 twist barrels and they have all worked very well...You shouldn't have a problem...

That's right. My CZ American has a 1/12" twist and it shoots those little 40 grain pills of any make just super. I just loaded up some 40 grain Sierra hollow points for it yesterday to try with some Alliant Pro Power Varmint powder. Going give that combo a try. I bet it works good.

They shoot great from a 1:8 twist as well.
