Installing QD Sling Mounts on a Bolt Gun?

I have a two-point slings with QD mounts on two of my ARs and love them for hunting. I hike a lot when I hunt and I like the way the rifles can be slung across my back or across my chest. I would like to install a similar two-point sling with QD mounts on my Ruger M77 with a factory synthetic stock (not the canoe paddle stock).

Do any of you guys have experience installing QD mounts on your own synthetic stocks? Who did you order your QD mounts from and how did you install them? Any pitfalls I need to be cautious of?

Do you have any advice for installing QD mounts on my own stock? I'd hate to bugger up my stock.

I'm going to put some on/in my stocks, too. My advantage, or disadvantage, is that my rifles are Savages. Don't have to worry about screwing up a good stock.

I wouldn't exactly call them cheesy as they will stand a pull test of over 200 lbs tension but they are only a 1" swivel loop. The heavy duty push buttons with a 1-1/4" loop will hold at over 325lbs tension. Here is another installation tutorial: Grovtec Pushbutton Base Installation
