So I use cephelexin for skin cuts and puncture wounds. Just recently was told that trimeth sulpha is best for joint and bone infections.
Cephelexin I give at 10mg per 10 pounds weight 2x a day.
Trimeth sulpha is same as above.
I am not a big antibiotics guy, but when deer antlers or hogs teeth do the damage... they get infected everytime. I lost a deer dog to staph from a deer horn puncture and have since been more proactive.
