Hey guys.
I have a question for you guys that have camo spray-painted various hunting gear.

Which, in your experiences, seems to hold up better as far as durability......Krylon or Rust-Oleum camo paints???

I ask because I just bought one of these, (see link below), to use as a new hunting seat, & I want to paint it to cover all that shiny aluminum.

I made the mistake of trying out Rust-Oleum once. You could easily scrape the paint and clearcoat off with a fingernail. Krylon all the way.

I have several done in Rustoleum, including my Jeep. They are holding up great ant nothing comes off. My Jeep has had it on for 5 years now. The few spots on it that are coming off was because of my prep, it has faded a little. My guns have nothing coming off. My AR was done 4 years ago with Krylon and is holding up also but has more shine to it than my wifes gun that I done 2 years ago with Rustoleum. Preparing it properly is the secret. I like the Rustoleum better because it has a flatter finish.

Thought I'd "update" the thread.

I wound up actually using both Krylon & Rust-Oleum,
It was the only way that I could get the color combo I wanted.

Take a look, fellas...and give me your honest opinion of the finished product.

{I hunt in a combo of open pastures & cedars, as well as some creek bottoms.}

Here's a link to what this "seat" originally looked like

Now, the "after" pics. The 1st pic is the side that will be facing any incoming critters.

Also, my new homemade "heavy duty" shooting sticks/walking staff......total cost, with paint = $17.

Will my Brotha!!!

I think they look great! October 1st just keeps getting closer and closer, it'll be calling time before we know it.
