House GOP Preparing to Give Up

I’m being told by several sources that Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor are plotting to give up trying to either defund or delay Obamacare.

This comes at the same time the Obama administration admits it will be months before their Obamacare website will be fixed and Kathleen Sebelius is saying if people want out of the mandate they can pay a fine.

Nonetheless, Cantor, Boehner, and with them Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn are expected to cave in and fully fund, unimpeded, Obamacare.

They will work up a new deal that includes a debt ceiling increase with a few sops to the GOP as cover. The only change they are still considering it the medical device tax repeal, which is being heavily lobbied for by former Boehner and McConnell staffers who left for K Street.

A number of Democrats who are recipients of campaign cash along with these Republicans may provide a crony capitalist bridge over which this one tax repeal can pass while leaving in place all the other taxes, penalties, and fees.

But John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Mitch McConnell, and John Cornyn will ensure that Obamacare is fully funded and give the American public no delay like businesses have.

In doing so, they will sow the seeds of a real third party movement that will fully divide the Republican Party.

Do it. Fund it. All of it. Raise the debt ceiling too. A financial implosion is inevitable, so why not embrace it and hasten it along? The sooner the SHTF, the sooner we can try to rebuild the good parts of this country and the more likely there will be something worth saving left. We all know where this is headed, right? Give the Dems all they want and bring the house of cards down. I don't see any other way out of this in the long run.

My only problem with extending the Debt Ceiling is that I know all that extra will be used to buy more Illegal Votes through additional entitlement programs and it's going to be hard for those folk to give up what's been given to them without any effort on their part....

We need a good political enema in this country...and get back to basic common sense, but I don't expect to see that in my lifetime....

I'll be ready to check out when the "hyper inflation" sets in again....Went through it with Carter and this next one will be much worse on everyone with a taxable income, or an earned fixed income....

I think that's where the dissenting republicans are coming from. Obamacare is a disaster, let it go and when it fails (and it will crash from its own weight) it belongs 100% to Obama, Pelosi & Reid! I suspect Cornyn and others of the same belief are thing the best offense is to let it fail before 2014 and the voters will be so pizzed we take back both houses.

Right on, OT; if the fed hadn't printed so much funny money we would already have that hyper inflation.

I'm with you DesertRam, just get it over with. There is no sense lingering it out, just get over with so we can salvage what's left and get this Republic back to where it should be. I'm tired of this prolonged agony, let the SHTF
 
They will cave before the week is out. They are all a bunch of Rinos as far as I am concerned and all this crap has been nothing but a dog and pony show. Don't be fooled. They ARE NOT looking out for their constituents.

I did listen in on (1/2 hours worth-telephone) a town hall meeting with Congressman Fortenbery, and
I do believe there are a few with some good intentions.
He likened raising the debt limit to stripping siding off your house to burn in the fireplace
after the firewood has run out.

Did we expect any other result from GOP Leadership?

I believe they fear optics vs. doing the right thing for the country. Always chasing votes & appeasment of the low info / hand out voters is not legislating.

When the SHTF, I fear the DEMS will really strip off their masks and come out full on flaming Marxist Socialist POS that they really are. Around these parts, I think I'll be behind the lines and surrounded. No hope here, just a pile of brass and my cold stinky #$%.

Watched a show awhile back about being armed and ready for the ghosts, vampires and demons. If you think about it there's something to it. Lol. We're ready.
 
I would like to see Cruz chew these girly men's a$$ again and shame them. What does he have to loose, these girly men need to step up to the plate or get out of the way.
 
I don't know why they are so scared to stand up for their country. They fought so hard to get their and now they want to just give in. Doesn't make much sense to me
