I am considering getting the EWT XLR 100 or 250. Since I am only wanting to get one of them what do you recommend getting out of the two? I will be hunting with a shotgun so I would assume the 100 would be good but just want some thoughts from others.

The 100 is plenty sufficient for shotgun range. I use mine as a scanning light and a gun mounted 250xlr or vise versa depending on the situation. I have also mounted it on my bow and 44 mag. revolver.
 
I have looked at shepslights as well and those lights seem to be about the same quality as the EWT lights. They are both the about the same price and probably would have good luck with either of them.
