Hello All-

I'm thinking of building a tack driving 10/22. Pretty much starting with little to nothing and building up from there. Please post some of your builds and the parts used, possibly a price point also. I would like to know how much I'm about to spend..haha.

Thanks in advance!

This has the following...Butler Creek Ultra Lite composite stock, Magnum Research Carbon fiber barrel, Timney drop in trigger group...Very accurate with most ammo...

This started out as a 10/22 Carbine, with a .17M2 Magnum Research Carbon fiber barrel, Volquartsen fire control group with a Volquartsen mounting block, set into a Richards Microfit Laminated stock...I sold this a little over a year ago due to lack of use, but it was really accurate at 100 yards...

I built this one with the same thought it started as a Deluxe SS 10/22 with a walnut stock with no barrel band, I replaced the trigger with a Kidd two stage trigger group a Kidd bolt and Guide rod,
The barrel is a Shilen match grade 22" Varmint contour barrel and the action is glass and pillar bedded in the stock, it will shoot the CCI Velocitors into 1/2" at 50 yrds and target ammo less.
I gave my nephew my last 10/22 it had a Volquartsen HP action kit and a Green mountain 19.5" heavy taper ss barrel it also shot very well I would not hesitate to use another Green Mountain barrel

Well, I kind of went to town on ordering some things...

Tactical Solutions blue barrel
Blue Laminate LH Thumbhole stock
Kidd trigger job kit
Kidd V-Block
Kidd Extended mag release

Should be an interesting looking gun and a fun shooter!

Now.. all I need is a receiver to build off of. haha (Picking one up this weekend)

It's the stock that came with the original gun it was one of the Deluxe SS sporters with the 18.5" barrel

Kidd new Ultra light barrel, Kidd bolt, Kidd 2 stage 8 oz trigger, Kidd magazine release. Raptor stock. Nikon 5.5 x 16.5 Monarch scope. I does shoot.

Here's how mine turned out! Not going to be extremely accurate but should be fun!

Now in need of more opinions... I am building one for my fiance, already have the reciever, trigger, scope... Going with a pink laminate stock ( I think).. Should I go with a black, silver, or pink barrel? (tactical solutions)

Thanks!

Since my teenage time was in the '50s with the Poodle Skirts of pink and gray on the girls, I'd go with the 'retro' look of pink and black/gray...

Although its a surprise I'm getting it for her, it's really not a surprise. She confirmed on a pink barrel for sure. I am liking the grey stocks too! I'll have to look into them more

I was gonna say silver, my fiance is 22 and she is into the blingy stuff so I would say silver. she prefers open sights so I went with a basic stainless synthetic for her but I may cerakote the stock purple for her.

Well, I feel as if I'm taking no ones advice here.. But after more probing she wanted something that stuck out, so I went pink/pink.

She really enjoys her SR9c I got for her last year so this is my attempt to get her more into rifles. Although.. This weekend she liked my .308 AR so I hope this isn't a big let down haha.
