Five years on this 8.5 acres north of Cheyenne and haven't heard or seen a single coyote. Used to have red fox around, but haven't seen one in 15 months.
Had 11" of snow last week over night and saw a pair of coyotes in a prairie dog town about 3/4 mile north of the house.
About 30 minutes ago, one of said coyotes was in the backyard, about 80 yards out, screaming at Spud and Purdy, who promptly proceeded to attempt to tear the back door down and destroy all the windows in an attempt to eliminate said screamer.
It got a bit Western here for a few.
Lightforce 240 Blitz and CZ 452 American .17 HMR ambush planned for 10 pm tomorrow night...
Spud and Purdy making plans as well.
