Any Benelli Experts Out There?(Got Her Done)

I took it to my gunsmith this morning. He heated it up and took it off for me. I can't believe how much black locktite was on it. It took me 15 minutes with a wire brush to get it all off the threads.

I bought this gun used and the previous owner did not know how much oil was good. The entire cylinder was full of oil and dirt. I'm glad I took it down. It's always a good feeling to tear one completely down and to know that your gun is pefect.

Thanks for all the advice!!

That's precisely why I don't heavily lube mine like was suggested. I spray some clp on the inside of the tube, the spring, and the metal plunger, let it all sit for a few minutes, lightly wipe it all off, put one tiny drop on the metal plunger, rub it around with my fingers, and put it ll back together. Just a light film of oil to prevent corrosion and wear is all that's needed. Same for the bolt rails. It stays much cleaner and the action works much faster/ smoother in cold weather when it's not dredged in oil.
