Looking for a scope to top off a Savage Model 10 Predator Max 1 in .243 caliber. Anticipate using gun for long range deer hunting, long range ground hog hunting, and hunting coyotes at night using a red light. Please be brutally honest in your personal opinion as to whether or not I should invest my hard earned dough in this scope for its intended use.

Also, confused why the 30mm is $150 more than the 1" tube and if it is worth the extra money?
