Helmet mounted Flir

Here is the mount I am using. Its a standard pvs14 helmet mount attached to the flir unit. I am not sure if this works on all helmets. The screen is diagonal but works great.

That looks very effective and the J-Arm hold it inline nicely.

I have a Wilcox L-24 mount with the dovetail adapter instead of the bayonet adapter for even more rigidity, also have the Wilcox Steel J-Arm with the dovetail adapter. Will have to try that out!

I looked at the alignment on that when I made my FLIR bracket but I just assumed there would be viewing issues with the unit mounted at an angle. I made this one fairly quickly and never got back to trying address the J arm in that position.

The angle actually helps with sharper image compared to horizontal. I guess it lowers the nuc level due to the pre programmed settings. It works better for me.
