1&12 twist savage

My savage 22-250 12flv has a 1&12 twist barrel what would be my heaviest bullet I could stabilize with that twist and does anyone have that twist if so what grain shoots best out of it im currently shooting 45 50 and 55 grain to test them out all ballistic tip

I got a savage model 10xp with 1x12 twist and I shoot 50gr. Vmax with 26.0 great of varget. They shoot a very small jagged hole. Luv em. I have shot 60 so and they shoot good also

You can shoot a 60g V max, 64g Win, 63g Sierra, 60g Nosler

I shoot 50 or 55 out of mine. Very nice groups.

I have a couple of 12 twist Savage 22/250's and they will shoot from 50gr up to the 64gr Berger Match Varmint fine I have never tried anything heavier out of them I have a couple of faster twist 250's for the longer stuff.
Try the 53gr Vmax they shoot fantastic out of my LRPV

I have several 110's and shoot both 55 spsx and 55 vmax with 24.0g of AA2015. Tack driver in all my 223's

About the only bullets that might not shoot well would be the VLD, long for caliber, bullets heavier than 70 grains.

should be good up to mid 60gr shorter bullets.
