All,

Just a heads up. I was a bit low on Hornady .224 55 gr SP W/C
plinking bullets, and after my winter pistol loading work,
had run my self low on 45 cal. pistol bullets I compete with.
So I went to Powder Valley, ordered them knowing it would
likely be a long wait on back order. They shipped today.
So instead of doing some panic buying, just get in line for
some bullets, at Powder Valley, and it looks sooner than
later they will ship.

Now if I can find some RL-7, and H4895 locally, to avoid
HAZMAT, I will happier than Obama at a Gun Grabber Pep rally.

OK, so that won't be a viable way of getting hard to find
components!

I completely understand Powder Valley's reasons for doing this.
Their computer system for backlogs must be on it's knees.
There are signs of the panic running out of cash. I saw a
new AR-15 receiver, ordered from Brownells just about the
time the Sandyhook madness happened, sitting on the bench
at my local gun guy's shop. And I see a post that
Brownells did have some stripped lower receivers in stock,
for a few moments.

I also heard from a friend
visiting a Sportsman's Warehouse, that there was a line at
the door before opening time, for an arriving shipment of
18 new AR-15s. So the supply pipeline is still flowing.
I wonder how the bullet and powder manufacturers are handling
their supply pipelines being sucked dry?

The way it stands now I would imagine primers and a lot of bullets will be allocated to loaded ammo so I would imagine reloading supplies are going to be in short supply for awhile.
