The socialists know they can't pass their agenda all at once. They will be happy to take our freedoms a little here and a little there. An immediate outright ban will cause too much an insurrection. So they get rid of hi-cap mags now, while they continue to indoctrinate the sheep, that guns are bad and no-one is safe while citizens own them. Maybe they'll get some ammo restrictions in now, like banning internet sales. They'll push now as hard as they feel they can get away with.
So maybe later they tax ammo and restrict another type of gun. Raise the requirements of who can own guns. Have you seen a shrink...sorry you don't have the mental stability to own a gun.
How many people had to give up their guns when the domestic violence (misdemeanor) policy banned firearm ownership? There were cops that had to take desk jobs. I know of several instances where a bitter ex-lied about domestic violence just to screw over their partner.
