Burris FastFire III

I am planning one setting up my Rem 11-87 for coyote hunting at night and would like to know if anybody can comment on the Burris FastFire III. Do you think this red dot sight would be a good sight to use for night hunting. Thanks Tom

I'm using one this year on my shotgun, it's worked great so far. It zero'd very easily and has stayed put after a whole bunch of 3" magnum shots through it during hunting and patterning. I keep the setting on "Auto" usually and that's just about right at night. The "Low" setting is about the same brightness as glowing eyes at 50 yards.

I was planning on using this sight with a Red XLR-250 kill light mounted on the barrel. Would I be able to see the red dot with this setup? Thanks Tom

Yes. I use a red XLR-100 with my shotgun and have no problem seeing the dot. The dot is much more intense red than the LED light.
