T/C Venture heavy bolt lift issue

Hello. I am new to this board but I have read a lot of your posts which is the reason I have joined.
I just purchased a Thompson Center Venture stainless in 22-250 with a 22"barrel and detachable magazine. It looks good and feels good but the bolt seemed a little stiff compared to my Remington 700 BDL in 300 win mag.
I ran the action a few times and then pulled the trigger. Now the bolt was really hard to lift. I have repeated this multiple times and it seems to be a little better or maybe I'm just getting used to it.
I bought it from Buds and it's the first gun I have ever bought without handling it first. I have not fired any rounds through it yet.
Is this normal for TC to have a stiff action?
I plan on putting a Nikon monarch 4-16 on top but before I go any further I would like some input from people with experience with these guns.
Thanks for the help!

I have the same issue with mine the T/C Venture Predator .22-250 and they take some getting use to. After about 100 round through the gun it seem to glide like butter now.
