Color Phase Bear down...

Had a good hunt last night, got this chocolate boar when he came in about 7:20pm.

48 yards with 7mm-08 and 139 SST's. Didn't go 30 yards, double lung shot.

measured out over 6 foot, weighed 265 gutted... guessing 325 range on the hoof.

i have to agree with the rest of the guys, nice bear!! He is realy furred out! I killed a 6'6" black bear in N.B.C. back in the 80's, my bear was nowhere near that furred out, do you think that might mean you will have a bad winter, or do they just look that way this time of year where you are?

I killed a bear on the Big Horns over on the Sheridan Side when I was 18 it looks Identical in color and hide quality, I call them choclate phase. The big horns produce some awsome bears
