lost my scope cap

I lost the cap off the elevation turret on my simmons scope. I looked up a customer service number to call tomorrow.Are the threads standard on most scopes to where I couldmaybe find a extra one or are Simmons diff from other scopes?

Call your rifle range, they probably have a cigar box full "stuff" shooters have left lying around or on the deck.
 
The local gun shop has a box of dead scopes that usually have caps. Yours probably does too. These are various brands of cheap scopes that went belly up and were not worth repair.
 
Don't know about simmons but this past spring I lost a cap off of my nikon,called customer service and they sent me one quick.

Yeah. I think most company's would send you one for free just for good PR. I emailed Warne about buying some ring screws that I lost. The said "We don't charge for replacement parts." They sent them to me absolutely free.
