Benchmark 22-250

Seeing how the other thread is benchmark with .223, I am curious who uses benchmark in their 22-250s? I am no pro to reloading yet. I reloaded a fair amount of varget with 55 grain noslers and they shot ok but I am looking for tighter groups. Who uses different powder with good success with 55 gr noslers? My gun is a Remington 700 sps varmint with a 1:14 barrel. Should I switch to 50 grain bullets or use different powder first? Thanks!

My 700 with imr4064 and nosler 50gr.bt puts them about 3/8" at 100 and under an inch at 200. Have never found a reason to pursue any further.

34gr of Benchmark pushing a 55gr Nosler BT gets me .5-.75 groups all day long... Remington 700 SPS 22-250 w/26" hvy bbl 1:14TR.

ive run ar comp and the 55gr noslers but in my .223 and groupd great. I run ar comp and 60gr sierra hp in my 22 250 and am very impressed, 3/8" groups with a 1x14 twist, never had them chrony'd but by the bullet drop im getting very respectable speeds with the 60's.

Ive previously used the nosler 55gr btip in my 22 250 in front of imr3031 and groups were also really good 1/2"-5/8" but was not impressed with the bullet at high speeds. made a 8-10" entrance hole on a clean broad side shot.

either way i would change powder before going to a 50gr pill.

what part of ND you from?

I SURE AM!! Im thinking withing 2 weeks furs should be looking pretty nice.

Two of my most accurate loads in one of my 22-250's is a 50 grain and a 55 grain bullet with a full boat of Benchmanrk. Awesome velocity, too.
